In an official update posted on the club’s social media platforms just hours before their rescheduled mid-week match against Posta Rangers, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate, the club confirmed the injury blow.
“TEAM NEWS: Lawrence Juma is sidelined for today’s match due to injury sustained; we wish him a quick recovery,” read the club statement.
While the 21-time league champions stopped short of revealing the full extent of the injury, a quick follow-up by Mozzart Sport established that the midfielder is expected to spend close to a month on the sidelines as he undergoes rehabilitation.
“It’s a devastating setback for me, especially as I was gradually getting my rhythm back,” Juma disclosed. “I will be out for about a month as I focus on recovery.”
